ManageSoft recognizes that everyone in your organization has specific job duties, and will need access to different parts of ManageSoft ECM. As such, we have developed the following roles and training topics for each role in your organization.

Role: Hardware Asset Manager
Course: ECM-1148: Hardware Asset Management using ECM

• Need to understand SAM Best Practices used in ECM
• Need an overview of all parts of the ECM tool
• Managing hardware assets using ECM
• Need access to reports for hardware asset management

Role: Software Asset Manager
Course: ECM-1158: Software Asset Management using ECM

Role: License Compliance Manager
Course: ECM-1168: Advanced License Entitlement in ECM

• Will be entering license configuration data
• Responsible for providing accurate entitlement counts
• Manage relationships between Applications and Licenses

Role: Sr. License Compliance Manager
Course: ECM-1178: License Optimization

• Will be entering license configuration data
• Responsible for providing accurate entitlement counts
• Manage advanced product use rights for licenses

Role: IT Procurement Manager
Course: ECM-1188: Purchases & Contracts

• Will be entering purchase data for hardware & software
• Responsible for all IT hardware & software contracts
• Manage payment schedules for hardware & software
• Access reports on contracts, purchases & payments

Role: Discovery & Inventory Specialist
Course: EDS-1138: Discovery, Inventory & Adoption

• Will be conducting network discovery to discover devices
• Responsible for collecting hardware & software inventory
• Will need to configure clients to collect inventory & usage
• Will be using remote execution to install & adopt clients
• Access reports on raw inventory, discovery & adoption
